Year 4 students had a fantastic day last Friday on their Indigenous Perspectives excursion to CERES Environmental Park in Brunswick. Students spent the day participating in a range of traditional activities and learning about Indigenous Culture. Some of the highlights were painting traditional Wurundjeri symbols on our arms with ochre, dressing up and role playing the Dreamtime story of Tiddalick and getting to taste some delicious bush tucker in the form of Lemon Myrtle, River Mint and Salt Bush leaves. Who knew they would be so tasty? It was also wonderful to meet Aunty Cathy, a proud Gunaikurnai  woman, who led some of the activities on the day.
