Technology Challenge – ready, set, race!

So much fun! We had some beautifully engineered cars to race on Tuesday afternoon. The challenge was to design a car to travel the furthest distance down a slight slope. We also had some students who had definitely gone for the best design – many hours of work had gone into decorating their racer.  Thank you to everyone who entered. There was much excitement and cheering to be had. It was fantastic to see so many entries and everyone approaching race day with an inclusive attitude. At the end of the competition it was great to hear from the successful engineers regarding their design. It was obvious that their innovative approaches were grounded in taking risks and learning from trial and error. I know the students will have taken away some great tips on how they can improve and modify their designs too.
