It was lovely to be able to highlight our Arts and Music program. In the fast world that we live in today now more than ever, students need ways in which to deal with stress and anxiety. For many students art or music allows us to de-stress from the days challenges and art or music lessons can also provide an opportunity to excel.
We had so many families in attendance and there was a buzz around the school as people moved through the classrooms to see how writing develops across the levels. The writing on display was fantastic, the night looked at the process students went through to develop their final piece. Just like authors go through there is the process of the idea, planning, writing, revising and editing before we get to the published piece.
I would also like to congratulate our Taiko drummers and our junior and senior choirs. They performed brilliantly! The singing was just beautiful.
