What a way to kick of Education Week by recognising the amazing contribution grandparents make in educating the next generation. Grandparents have always played an important role in family life, but over the last twenty years, they have become more involved than ever in the raising of their grandchildren, due to family work commitments and life style changes. It also takes a very special person, who chooses to build a positive relationship by stepping into a child’s life, particularly when you are not related and are not obligated. A gift that is not truly realised and appreciated until later in life. Thank you to all our special persons who joined us on Monday. We had 60+ guests who participated in classroom activities before heading to the hall for a special assembly and morning tea. A big thanks to Kelly P for baking fresh scones and gorgeous cupcakes. They were very much appreciated.
