AFLW Stars, Lucy and Stephanie Wales, visit MWHPS

On the last day of Term 3 we were lucky to have past students, Lucy and Stephanie Wales, visit to chat with the students about what it has been like to be drafted to the AFLW.

Not only did the girls attend assembly, but they visited classes, signed autographs and ran activities at our whole school sports afternoon. They gave of their time and were happy to undertake all activities that were asked of them! Both girls (and their parents) volunteered at every school event when they attended our school and it was lovely to see that their generosity and sense of community is still with them! 

We would like to acknowledge and thank Stephanie and Lucy who graciously attended our Footy Day and gave so much.  Our students loved it and we feel very lucky.  Good luck girls with your future, we know you will be amazing!!

Lucy plays for Hawthorn Football Club and Stephanie is at Essendon Football Club.
